Character: Revy (Rebecca)
Series: Black Lagoon
Version: After the end of the anime.
Age: Early to mid 20s.
Gender: Female.
Sexuality: Straight, although her character implies two things-- either she's totally abstinent due to lack of interest (she is a type who would rather kill people than sleep with them) or she'd be open and careless enough to sleep with anyone she found attractive.

Appearance: Revy almost exclusively wears a green tank top, short denim shorts, and untied combat boots. She has a large tribal tattoo across her right shoulder extending halfway across her back, and she wears her brown hair in a ponytail to keep it out of her face. She is very athletic, a result of her active and invigorating gun battles. She looks rather unkempt on the whole, her wardrobe pure functionality rather than fashion.


Personality: Revy is a very violent individual given good reason. She tends to go on a killing spree if someone pisses her off or betrays her in some way-- she's a bit maladjusted, but her cliche bad childhood gives her plenty of license to go a little crazy sometimes. However, she is by no means a psycho killer; she only kills people she believes deserve it. She has a penchant for using foul language, the result of her Brooklyn streets upbringing and her lack of regard for morality and societal standards. Revy has trust issues and has a hard time relaxing around or liking people who don't see the world the same way she does. She has a tendency to call people "baby" and her overinflated ego causes her to look for fights that challenge her often.


Abilities/Weaponry: Revy is extremely proficient at wielding her two 9mm custom Beretta pistols akimbo while preforming acrobatic manouvers. This is her main focus of combat training and expertise, but it has been demonstrated that Revy is proficient with many other firearms, including sniper rifles and grenade launchers. Her savant dual-wielding ability has led to her receiving the nickname "Two-Hand Revy".

Weaknesses: Revy's main weakness is her inability to express any emotion other than anger. This has led to problems interacting with people in mundane situations and she's very quick to anger, threatening bodily harm to get her way (but never really meaning it unless she's given a good reason to pull the trigger). This leads to problems with law enforcement. She has a sweet spot for alcohol and cigarettes, drinking hard liquors like they're water and often seen with a cigarette in her mouth. She is also very impatient.

History: (This section is rather vague. Information of this is very hazy in the series, just simple few-frame flashbacks and what Revy alludes to herself. I assume this is to keep Revy as a dark character for now, and it will be revealed later in series as plot to develop her character. I'll do the best I can for now.)

Revy was born as Rebecca in New York City to Chinese-American parents. She grew up in slummy parts of Brooklyn, fighting and stealing to survive the harsh poverty of the big city. On one occasion, she was arrested and beaten severely by police officers for a "crime she didn't commit." Sometime before she left New York, she shot someone very important to her on accident, which is assumed to be the catalyst for her to leave, fleeing to Southeast Asia and becoming a pirate in Thailand. It is here she meets her first crew mate, Dutch, who is a Vietnam vet and American deserter. He is in possession of a ship, The Black Lagoon, which they use to establish the Lagoon Company, a shifty delivery service that sometimes crosses into the gray area to survive. Based out of a city named Roanapur, Dutch and Revy are alone for a while until Revy rescues a hacker from Florida named Benny on a mission. Benny joins Lagoon, but he isn't a fighter like Revy and Dutch-- he's mostly support. Another mission bring a crew member named Okajima Rokuro, a Japanese businessman, in the employ of the Lagoon Company. Revy develops a tenuous relationship with rock, leaning from hating him to tolerating him to genuinely liking him and back again, mainly due to his neutral view on the world of Roanapur and the crime and corruption it contains.
